InstallersUK (in liquidation) took out good cavity wall insulation and installed new cavity wall insulation and claimed ECO4 funding arranged by City Energy Network Ltd who are also named on the guarantee as the installer and registered with Ofgem as the installer, and the whole thing went terribly wrong. Both firms are registered with Trustmark.

The homeowner took a loan of £7000 to pay for extraction a year later to reduce the damage when there was no help from InstallersUK or City Energy Network Ltd. White Rock Property Care carried out the extraction and after inspection they were requested to return as there was insulation still remaining in the cavities. On further inspection in 2024, there still remains a significant amount of mixed fibre and bead insulation inside the cavities.

To date, 3 years on, the homeowner is left living in the severely damaged properly with no signs of help from industry, and remains still living in one bedroom with her 3 young children.
